othing here goes out on a schedule. A piece is published when the research holds up, which is sometimes a fortnight and sometimes a season. In between there is a weekly email, which is mostly what I am reading and who I am arguing with.
Before this I wrote for other people, which taught me what an editor is for and how little of a first draft survives one. I still cut about half.
Nothing is sponsored and nothing is paid for, which is the only reason a recommendation here is worth anything. Corrections are published, dated, at the top of the piece.

Reading, asking people who know, and checking the thing actually happened.
The draft
Written badly on purpose first, then cut until only the argument is left.
Published
Out on a Thursday, in the email the same morning, corrected in public if it needs it.
