Rivers, trees and meadows

Practical work for the places we live in.

Litter out of the river, trees into the ground, meadows back where there used to be mown grass. Every other Saturday, with whoever turns up.

What we do

Three kinds of work, all of it outdoors.

Rivers

Clean-ups and bank planting

Litter out, reeds and willows in, and the outfall pipes reported when they smell wrong.

Trees

Planting November to March

Native whips in schools, parks and field edges, guarded and watered through the first summer.

Meadows

Verges and park corners turned back into meadow, and hedgerows laid the old way.

Pick a Saturday and a place.

Meet at the car park named on the booking. Bring wellies and a packed lunch.

Saturdays

Bring wellies. We bring everything else.

Tools, gloves, tea and a proper briefing. Children welcome with a grown-up. If you cannot come, a gift buys the saplings and the skips.
