About us

Started with one litter pick.

A handful of neighbours pulled a shopping trolley out of the river one Saturday and decided to come back the next. Now it is a charity with two part-time staff, a van, and a mailing list of volunteers.

We work with the council, the landowners and the schools, and we only take on sites we can look after for years, not just plant once.

This was a mown verge three summers ago.

Seeded by forty volunteers over two Saturdays, cut once a year, and left alone in between.

Saturdays

Bring wellies. We bring everything else.

Tools, gloves, tea and a proper briefing. Children welcome with a grown-up. If you cannot come, a gift buys the saplings and the skips.
