Before you book

The questions we get every week

Yes, on site and free for guests, though the courtyard spaces are limited. Mention the car when you book and we will hold one for you.

Very much so. Dogs stay free in the ground-floor rooms, and there are bowls and towels at reception. We only ask that they are not left alone in the room.

Any time from the morning. Rooms are ready at three, but leave your bags with us and go and enjoy the day.

Free up to 48 hours before you arrive. After that we charge the first night, because a room empty at short notice usually stays empty.

Included on every rate. It is cooked to order rather than laid out under lamps, so tell us if you need to eat before seven and we will sort something.

Open to everyone, not just the people upstairs.

Local gin, a short wine list and a fire in the winter. Stay for dinner round the corner and come back for a nightcap.
