Rooms designed around how you actually live in them.

Single rooms and whole homes. A fixed fee for the design stages, and you buy the pieces wherever you like. We start with what you do in the space, and at what time of day.

Three ways to work with us

A fixed fee, agreed before we draw a line.

The fee covers the design stages only. Furniture, fabric and trades are quoted separately and you are free to buy anywhere; if you buy through us the trade discount is passed on.

01

A single room

from $1,400

Layout, lighting plan, a material palette and a shopping list with two options at each price. Six weeks.

02

A whole home

from $6,500

Every room, one palette, and drawings a builder can price from. We stay on through the build for site visits.

03

A styling day

$650

For a room that is nearly right. We move what you have, source what is missing, and leave it finished by evening.

What we believe

Good rooms are quiet. You should not notice the design; you should notice that you stay longer than you meant to.

Which is why we begin with the boring questions. Where does the light land at four o’clock. Where do the coats actually go. What you eat at and what you work at. The palette comes last.

Recent rooms

Two rooms, finished this year.

A grey sofa under three rattan pendants with a round marble table

The pendants were the problem, and the answer.

A long room with one window at the far end. Three low pendants pull the light into the middle, and the seating turned to face across rather than along.

A white sectional in a bay window with terracotta accents

A bay window, finally used.

The bay had been a place for a plant. A low sectional fills it now, and the terracotta stops the white from going cold in the afternoon.

Start here

Start with a home visit.

Two hours in the space, a conversation about how you use it and what time of day you are in it, and a written proposal within the week. The visit is $120 and comes off the design fee.
