Small animal practice

Vets who explain, and a waiting room that stays calm.

Routine health checks, vaccinations, dentistry and surgery, with the same vet seeing your animal each visit wherever we can manage it. Cats are seen in a separate room from the dogs.

Tell us the animal and roughly what is wrong. We confirm by email the same day.

Ask for a named vet in the notes if you have one.

Urgent today?

Ring, do not book.

Same-day slots are held back every morning for anything that cannot wait. A vet is on the phone from eight, and the practice number reaches a vet out of hours too.

Counts as urgent: not eating for a day, vomiting more than twice, straining to pass urine, a bloated belly, any collapse, poison, or a road accident.

The people

Three vets, two nurses, one number.

Ask for whoever saw your animal last. Continuity is worth waiting a day for, and we will make it work if the diary allows.

VetsSmall animal medicine, surgery, and one with a soft spot for rabbits and guinea pigs.
NursesRun the clinics, the recovery ward and the phone at eight in the morning.
ReceptionTwo people who know most of the animals by name and all of the awkward ones.
Second opinions are welcome. Bring the notes and you will get a straight answer, including when the answer is that the first opinion was right.
