An example rate card

A cottage at 90 a night, with a summer and a shoulder season. Change the numbers to make it yours.

Season Dates Per night Per week
High summer 1 Jul to 31 Aug £150.00 £1,050.00
Shoulder 1 Sep to 15 Oct £110.00 £770.00
Any other date - £90.00 £630.00

7 nights from 28 Aug 2027

Priced night by night, so a booking across a season boundary comes out right.

High summer 4 × £150.00 £600.00
Shoulder 3 × £110.00 £330.00
Total average £132.86 per night £930.00

The return day is not charged, which is also what "7 nights" means to a customer.

This is the same pricing a real booking gets. The page calls the code that prices a reservation on a Webkio site, so the card and the checkout cannot drift apart. It will not tell you what to charge - we have no data on what a cottage or a van goes for where you are, and a made-up benchmark would be worse than silence. See the hire booking system.

Questions

Each night is priced at the rate for that night, and the quote shows the split. That is the question this tool exists to answer: a single unexplained total across a season boundary reads as a pricing error and generates a support message.

The later-defined one wins on the shared dates, and you are told. It is not an error - a "summer" season with an "August peak" inside it is a normal way to price - but trimming them apart makes the card easier for a customer to read.

No. We have no data on what a van or a cottage goes for where you are, and a benchmark invented to look helpful would be worse than silence. This prices what you decide, and flags where your own numbers contradict each other.

No. A hire of seven days charges seven days from the pick-up, and the return day is not charged - which is also exactly what seven nights means for a holiday let. Same arithmetic, different word.

Yes, literally - this page calls the same code that prices a real reservation, the search results and the confirmation email. That is why it can be trusted on the awkward cases rather than only the simple ones.
