Both let you build a site without code, and on the things most small businesses need they are closer than comparison pages usually admit: Wix builds bookings, restaurant ordering and email marketing itself. The differences that are real are what happens when you rent things out, and how much of what you need arrives inside the plan you are already paying for.

The verdict

Wix is a mature platform and its bookings, restaurant ordering and email marketing are its own products, not bolt-ons. Choose Webkio if you rent things out - cars, bikes, boats, equipment or holiday lets - because Wix has nothing native for that, or if you would rather have one plan than a set of separately-priced tiers. Choose Wix for its far larger app market and template library.

When to choose them instead

Wix has the largest app market of any website builder, and that is a real advantage when you need one specific third-party integration. If your business depends on a niche tool with a Wix app and no other route in, that single dependency is a better reason to choose Wix than anything on the table above is to choose against it.

Frequently asked questions

It depends entirely on what you need, and we would rather you worked it out than took our word for it. The honest comparison is your total: take the plan tier each platform needs for the capabilities you actually use, and add anything priced on top of it - Wix prices email marketing separately once you pass its free allowance. Our pricing page lists what is in each plan.

Yes. You rebuild your site in the visual editor (often faster than it sounds with templates), point your domain, and you are live with free HTTPS.

Rental and hire reservations, natively: a fleet with real availability, seasonal rates, turnaround buffers and deposits, for cars, bikes, boats, equipment or holiday lets. Wix has no first-party product for that. Bookings, restaurant ordering and email marketing are a different story - Wix builds all three itself, and any comparison telling you otherwise is out of date.

Two things, plainly. Its app market is far larger, so an unusual requirement is more likely to have somebody's app waiting for it. And it has many more templates, from a much longer history of design work. If either of those decides it for you, that is a reasonable way to choose.
