Both let you build a site without code, and on the things most small businesses need they are closer than comparison pages usually admit: Wix builds bookings, restaurant ordering and email marketing itself. The differences that are real are what happens when you rent things out, and how much of what you need arrives inside the plan you are already paying for.
The verdict
Wix is a mature platform and its bookings, restaurant ordering and email marketing are its own products, not bolt-ons. Choose Webkio if you rent things out - cars, bikes, boats, equipment or holiday lets - because Wix has nothing native for that, or if you would rather have one plan than a set of separately-priced tiers. Choose Wix for its far larger app market and template library.
What each one costs
Wix prices by tier and by product: the site is one plan, and Bookings, Restaurants and email marketing have their own pricing above a free allowance. Webkio is 14.99 a month on Starter with every module included and a 2% platform fee on online payments, or 39.99 on Growth Business where the fee drops to 1% and every limit rises several times over. Which works out cheaper depends entirely on how many of those products you need.
What moving involves
A site built in Wix cannot be exported, so moving is a rebuild wherever you go. What you can keep is your addresses: point our import at your current site and it rebuilds each page at the same path, with redirects for the few that have to change, so the pages Google already knows about stay where it left them.
When to choose them instead
Wix has the largest app market of any website builder, and that is a real advantage when you need one specific third-party integration. If your business depends on a niche tool with a Wix app and no other route in, that single dependency is a better reason to choose Wix than anything on the table above is to choose against it.
