Put your boats online and stop the phone tag over the tide and the diary. Each boat shows its photos, capacity, engine and day rate, and recording how many you hold keeps two parties off the same hull. Guests book without reading card numbers down the phone and pay the charter and a security deposit through your own Stripe account before they reach the pontoon. The form asks for a licence and your fuel policy and drops the mileage and driver-age fields that belong to a car - and a skippered boat, a bareboat and a paddleboard all sit in one fleet, each with its own rate.

Before you start the trial

  • Taking payment runs through your own Stripe account. Connecting it is a separate identity check with Stripe that can take a few days, so start it on day one if you want to take a real payment inside the trial.
  • The trial runs on Starter only. Moving up a plan part-way through ends the trial and starts the paid subscription, so if you already know you need the bigger tier, start there instead.

Record how many of each you hold. A search counts the free ones in real time and locks the booking, so the same boat is never promised to two parties for the same day.
