A plant and tool hire yard
Machines hired by the day, with a damage waiver and nothing about driving.
- Four machines from a 2.6 t roller to a 9.5 t dumper, nine units between them
- Capacity written the way a hire desk writes it: "6 tonne payload", "1.2 m drum"
- A booking form with no licence, no fuel policy and no mileage

The dashboard you would work in

What this trade needs a site to do
Hiring out a digger has almost none of a car hire's paperwork. Nobody is driving it away on the public road, so there is no licence to collect, no fuel policy to argue about afterwards and no mileage to count - what is left is a damage waiver and whether the machine is back when the next job needs it. The specs work differently too: a bucket is cubic metres, a dumper is tonnes and a roller is drum width, so capacity here is written out rather than filtered on, which is exactly how the yard says it on the phone.
