A plumber website built with Webkio: a two-hour arrival window on screen and an enquiry form asking what is happening and where

Most trade websites exist so that someone who was given your number can check you are real, see what you charge, and send the job. This one does that, and asks what is wrong and where it is in the first message, so you are not quoting blind.

Building your site, pages and blog are free forever. Online booking is not - it needs Starter ($14.99/mo). The 14-day free trial covers it, and starting the trial needs a card. That tier covers 5 staff and 100 bookings a month; Growth Business raises both. A site that only takes enquiries runs on the free plan.

Before you start the trial

  • Nothing is charged today. Cancel any time before day 15 and you are not charged at all - the account moves to the Free plan and your site and its data stay.
  • Taking payment runs through your own Stripe account. Connecting it is a separate identity check with Stripe that can take a few days, so start it on day one if you want to take a real payment inside the trial.
  • The trial runs on Starter only. Moving up a plan part-way through ends the trial and starts the paid subscription, so if you already know you need the bigger tier, start there instead.
  • One trial per account.

What it replaces

  • A separate website
  • A booking tool
  • A quote request form
  • A gallery for job photos
  • A reviews page

Services with prices on them

A service list with a price or a from-price against each line. The jobs where a price cannot be promised say so, which reads more honestly than hiding every number.

Your work, not stock photos

A gallery for finished jobs. For a builder or a landscaper the photographs are the sales pitch; the page is built around them rather than around paragraphs.

Enquiries that can be quoted

The form asks what is happening and where it is, not just for a name and a number - so the first message is one you can price, instead of a phone tag opener.

Booking where the trade books

A garage takes MOT slots and a pest controller takes visits; a roofer mostly does not. Online booking is there to switch on for the trades that use it, with deposits if you take them.

Built to be found locally

Your area, opening hours and phone number marked up the way local search reads them, plus a block for your Google Business Profile and review links.

Read on a phone, from a van

Most of your visitors are on a phone, often standing in the problem. The number is tappable, the form is short, and the pages stay fast on mobile data.

Reviews where they help

Pull-quotes from real customers next to the work they are about, and a link that takes a happy customer straight to the review form.

You can change it yourself

Prices move, vans change, a new service gets added. Edit it from your phone in the evening rather than emailing someone and waiting.

How it works

Live in an afternoon - no code, no plugins.

1

Pick your trade

Plumber, cleaner, builder, mechanic, landscaper, roofer or pest control - each starts from a design made for that work, not a generic business page with the nouns swapped.

2

Put your services and area on it

List what you do with prices or from-prices, add photos of finished jobs, and say where you work. The enquiry form asks what is wrong and where it is, so you can quote from the first message.

3

Publish, then add booking if you want it

The site is live on a free plan with enquiries working. If you book slots - services, MOTs, treatments, site visits - switch on online booking when you are ready.

Frequently asked questions

Only if your trade books slots. Garages, cleaners and pest control often do; builders and roofers mostly quote first. The site works either way - enquiries are on from the first day, and booking is a switch, not a rebuild.

To your email, and they are kept in your site dashboard so nothing lives only in an inbox. Reply from wherever you read them.

A site that lists services and takes enquiries runs on the free plan. Online booking starts on the Starter plan, which covers 5 staff and 100 bookings a month; Growth Business raises both.

List from-prices, fixed prices or no price per service, line by line. A from-price with a sentence about what moves it reads better than a bare "call for quote".

The pages carry the local-business markup search engines read, and your hours, area and phone are structured rather than buried in a paragraph. Rankings also depend on reviews and how long the site has existed; no builder can promise a position.

Yes - the importer keeps your page addresses when the content moves over, so links that point at your old pages keep working.

Yes, where booking is on. Payments go through your own Stripe account, so the money lands with you.

Start from the closest one, or from any of the designs in the full library - the service list, gallery and enquiry form work the same whatever the page looks like.

Not sure how many pages you need? We counted 115 small business sites - three pages are the same everywhere, and the fourth depends on your trade.

Ready to build it?

Build and publish your site for free, with no card. A website for your trade business needs Starter, free for 14 days on the trial, and you can cancel any time.

Already have a website? Import it free and see it as a Webkio site, and your pages keep the addresses they already have.
