The Service Menu Is the Centrepiece

A hair salon lives on the appointment book, and the appointment book is filled by a menu that answers three things per line: what it is, how long it takes and what it costs.

Price by length or by consultation, but say which

Colour is where price lists break down. Either publish bands with what moves them, or state plainly that colour is quoted at consultation. What loses bookings is a blank.

Stylists deserve their own diaries

Clients ask for people by name and will wait for them. Each stylist needs their own hours and their own service list, which is what set up bookings configures, so the site never offers a slot the right person cannot take.

Show recent work, not a look book

Photographs of cuts and colours done in your chairs, on real clients, in your light. A stock gallery is instantly recognisable as one and does the opposite of building confidence.

Replace the service menu with your own durations and prices, and put the booking action somewhere it is visible on every screen.
