Refund policy generator
The returns window, the condition, who pays return shipping, how and when you refund, the exceptions, and the on-time shipping promise every US online shop owes. Faulty items are always refunded, whatever else you choose. Free, no sign-up.
How this is worked out
The policy states the returns window you set (0 days writes an all-sales-final version and tells you where it must be displayed), the condition items must come back in, who pays return shipping, the refund method and the number of business days, any restocking fee, exchanges if offered, and the exceptions you ticked. Two rules hold whatever you choose: a faulty, damaged or misdescribed item is replaced or refunded in full including return postage, because the exceptions cover a change of mind and not a broken product; and every policy for a shop carries the FTC Mail, Internet or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule promise to ship within the time stated, or 30 days if none, or tell the customer and offer a prompt full refund. Original shipping is refunded only when the return is the seller's fault. When bookings or rentals are ticked, deposits and cancellations are referred to the cancellation policy rather than written a second time. Nothing in it claims to override the consumer law of the place the customer lives, and the policy says so.
