Moving from GoDaddy
Move your GoDaddy website, and keep the domain where it is
The site moves. The domain does not have to go anywhere, it just points here.
November offer: first month free
1 month free on any plan below, then the normal price. Ends 23 November.
Start with the offer - it is applied automatically.
No account, no card, nothing published. Or go straight to rebuilding it as a real site.
What comes across
- Every page your menu links to, up to twenty.
- Your text, logo, photographs and brand colour.
- Phone, email and postal address, wherever they sit on the page.
- The address of each page, with redirects for any that cannot be kept exactly.
What does not
- Anything that is a hosted add-on rather than text on the page.
- Email on your domain. That is a separate service and is not affected by moving the site.
- Anything behind a login, including any customer or member area.
It rebuilds, it does not copy. We read your words and structure and lay
them out in Webkio's own sections, so what you see is the thing you would actually be
buying, not a screenshot of what you already have.
Your addresses are kept. A page at services/implants arrives at
services/implants. Where an address cannot be kept exactly, the page takes the nearest
one and the old address redirects to it permanently.
Up to twenty pages, followed through your own navigation in the order
your menu lists them. A big site brings its main pages, not its whole archive.
Nothing is published and nothing on your site changes. The preview sits
on a Webkio address search engines are told to ignore, and deletes itself after 72 hours
unless you make a free account to keep it.
Questions about moving from GoDaddy
No. You leave the domain where you bought it and point it at the new site, which is two settings to paste in one screen, and we show you exactly what to paste. Your email on that domain carries on unaffected.
It is the easy case. Small sites usually come across almost completely, because everything is plain text in a simple layout, which is exactly what the reader is good at.
