Moving from Webflow

Move your Webflow site and edit it yourself

Somebody built this for you. The question is who changes a price on a Tuesday evening, and the answer should be you.

November offer: first month free 1 month free on any plan below, then the normal price. Ends 23 November. Start with the offer - it is applied automatically.

No account, no card, nothing published. Or go straight to rebuilding it as a real site.

What comes across

  • Your pages and the words on them, followed through your own navigation.
  • Your logo, photographs and the colour the design is built around.
  • Prices and opening hours wherever they are written as text.
  • Your contact details, which are often the hardest thing to get changed on a built site.
  • Each page's address, so existing links still arrive.

What does not

  • The animations and scroll effects. They are built into that design, not into your words, and they are the part you were paying a specialist to maintain.
  • Anything driven by a CMS collection arrives as the pages it rendered. Repeating content is rebuilt here as a content collection, which is a thing you can edit without a brief.
  • Anything behind a login, and submissions already collected.
It rebuilds, it does not copy. We read your words and structure and lay them out in Webkio's own sections, so what you see is the thing you would actually be buying, not a screenshot of what you already have.
Your addresses are kept. A page at services/implants arrives at services/implants. Where an address cannot be kept exactly, the page takes the nearest one and the old address redirects to it permanently.
Up to twenty pages, followed through your own navigation in the order your menu lists them. A big site brings its main pages, not its whole archive.
Nothing is published and nothing on your site changes. The preview sits on a Webkio address search engines are told to ignore, and deletes itself after 72 hours unless you make a free account to keep it.

Questions about moving from Webflow

It will look like a Webkio site with your content in it, not like a copy of your old one, because we rebuild rather than copy markup. If your current design is the reason customers call you, that is a real thing to weigh, and the honest way to weigh it is to run the import and look at the result before you decide anything.

It is the most common reason people arrive here, and it is the thing that changes. After the import, text and images are edited by clicking them, and a price or an opening hour is a field rather than a change request.
