Moving from Google Sites

Move off Google Sites when the business outgrew it

The pages come across in minutes. What you gain is everything a business needs the site to DO.

November offer: first month free 1 month free on any plan below, then the normal price. Ends 23 November. Start with the offer - it is applied automatically.

No account, no card, nothing published. Or go straight to rebuilding it as a real site.

What comes across

  • Your pages and their text, in the order your navigation lists them.
  • Images and any logo sitting on the page itself.
  • Your phone, email and postal address as they are written.
  • The address of each page, with a permanent redirect for any that cannot be kept exactly.

What does not

  • Embedded Google content keeps living in Google. A calendar, sheet or form embed is a window into that service, not content on your page, so it does not travel.
  • Anything restricted to people inside your organisation.
It rebuilds, it does not copy. We read your words and structure and lay them out in Webkio's own sections, so what you see is the thing you would actually be buying, not a screenshot of what you already have.
Your addresses are kept. A page at services/implants arrives at services/implants. Where an address cannot be kept exactly, the page takes the nearest one and the old address redirects to it permanently.
Up to twenty pages, followed through your own navigation in the order your menu lists them. A big site brings its main pages, not its whole archive.
Nothing is published and nothing on your site changes. The preview sits on a Webkio address search engines are told to ignore, and deletes itself after 72 hours unless you make a free account to keep it.

Questions about moving from Google Sites

So is our free plan, for as long as you like, and if a few plain pages are genuinely all you need then staying put is a reasonable answer. People move when the site has to start working: taking bookings, selling something, chasing enquiries, showing a fleet or a menu. Those are the things being built here.

You can embed it exactly as you do now. Most people stop, because enquiries sent through the site arrive in the contacts list with the page they came from attached, which a form in a separate account cannot do.
