WordPress is software you run, not a service you subscribe to. You choose the hosting, add plugins for the things you need, and you own what follows - updates, security, backups and making sure this month's plugin update has not broken last month's. That is real flexibility and a real job. Webkio is the other trade: the capabilities arrive built in and the maintenance is ours. Neither is the right answer for everyone.
The verdict
Choose WordPress if you want to own the code, you need something specific enough that only a plugin or a developer can do it, and you have someone to keep it patched. Choose Webkio if you would rather the store, bookings, rentals and email marketing simply be there, and never think about a plugin conflict or a security update again. The honest dividing line is not features - it is who does the maintenance.
When to choose them instead
Choose WordPress when you need a plugin that exists nowhere else, or when owning and self-hosting the stack is the point. The plugin ecosystem is unmatched and nothing here changes that. It is the right answer if you have somebody to keep it updated, backed up and secure - and the wrong one if that somebody was going to be you, at night.
