Bike rental website examples
Bike hire is booked on the day, on a phone, by someone standing near your shop or planning a weekend. The designs here are built for that: what is free right now, a price by the hour, day or week, the helmet and lock added in two taps, and a deposit held rather than taken.
3 designs below, and the six things every good bike rental website has. Designs and listed sites read live; the judgement reviewed 8 November 2026.
What a good bike rental website has
The things the examples below have in common, and the reason each one is there.
Bikes by type and size
Road, mountain, e-bike, kids'. Then the frame size, because a bike that does not fit is a refund. Each as a unit with a quantity.
Rates by hour, day and week
Most hires are a few hours; the profitable ones are a week. Show all three, with the weekly rate visibly better than seven days.
Extras that matter
Helmet, lock, child seat, trailer. Added at booking, counted against stock, and the law where it applies.
A route or two
A map of where people ride from your door, with distance and difficulty. It sells the hire and reduces the "where should we go" conversation.
A deposit and a waiver
A hold on the card and a damage waiver agreed at booking. The paperwork done before the bike leaves.
Hours that match the season
Open late in summer, shut on winter weekdays. The site and the booking calendar follow the same hours, or someone turns up to a locked shop.
What goes wrong
- A fleet listed by model with no sizes, so the first question on arrival is the one the site should have answered.
- Hourly rates only, which makes a week's hire look absurd and loses the best customers.
- No turnaround gap between hires, so a bike comes back at five and is promised again at five.
3 bike rental website designs to start from
Each one opens as a live preview. The words, photos and colours are yours to change; the working parts stay.
Bike Rental
Bike hire from a waymarked route card: gravel woodland behind the date search, the live fleet, three rides from the door with distance and terrain, and a fitting before you ride.
Equipment Hire
Tool and plant hire on a carbon-copy hire docket between hazard stripes, the live inventory, a day, weekend and week rate card, and delivery to site by eight.
4x4 & Adventure Hire
Off-road 4x4 hire on topographic contours: a Defender fording a river behind a clipboard search, the live fleet, lanes graded like ski runs, and the kit list in every truck.

Frequently asked questions
Can I hire by the hour?
Yes. Rates can be set by the hour, the day and the week, and a minimum hire length can differ by season.
How do I stop the same bike being booked twice?
Each bike or size is a unit with a quantity; availability is counted per unit for the dates and times requested, with a gap for checks between hires.
Do I need waivers?
A damage waiver agreed at booking saves the argument later and is included in the booking flow. Check what your insurer requires.
What about e-bikes with a minimum age?
Set a minimum age per bike type; the booking form asks for it and refuses under-age hires for those bikes only.
