Appointment booking website examples

Any business that works by appointment loses the same hour every day to the phone. The designs here, for salons, clinics, trainers, studios and driving schools, put the calendar on the site: the visitor picks a service, a person and a time that is really free, pays a deposit if you ask for one, and gets the reminder that stops the no-show.

12 designs below, and the six things every good appointment booking website has. Designs and listed sites read live; the judgement reviewed 8 November 2026.

What a good appointment booking website has

The things the examples below have in common, and the reason each one is there.

1

Services with a duration and a price

A booking starts from a service, and a service has a length. Thirty minutes or ninety changes what the calendar can offer; the price beside it removes the awkward question.

2

Real availability, per person

Only times that are free, for the person the client wants, with your working hours and days off respected. A booking you then have to move is worse than a phone call.

3

A deposit where no-shows hurt

For long appointments a small deposit, taken at booking, cuts no-shows more than any reminder. The designs take it through your own payment account.

4

Reminders that do the chasing

A confirmation at once, a reminder the day before. Automatic, so you never type them again.

5

The team, by name

People book a person as much as a service. A photo and two lines per team member, and the option to choose them.

6

A policy you can point to

Cancellations, late arrivals, patch tests where they apply. On the site, linked from the confirmation, so the conversation is already had.

What goes wrong

  • A "book now" button that opens a contact form, so the booking still happens by phone a day later.
  • Availability that ignores the gap between appointments, so clients arrive while the last one is still in the chair.
  • Reminders sent only by email to clients who only read texts, or the other way round.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a separate booking app?

No. The calendar, services, staff hours and reminders are part of the site in every example here, so there is nothing to connect and no second subscription.

Can clients choose who they book with?

Yes. Each team member has their own hours and services, and the client can pick a person or take the first free slot.

Should I take a deposit?

For anything over an hour, or anything you prepare for, yes. The no-show calculator puts a number on what missed appointments cost you now.

What if I also take bookings by phone?

Add them to the same calendar so the website never offers a slot you have already given away.
