Create your account
An account holds everything you make: your sites, your content and your subscription. One account can hold several sites, and you can invite other people into it.
Create one
Go to the sign-up page and either:
- Use your email address - enter your email and a password, or
- Continue with a social account - a button appears for each provider that is enabled, so you sign in with an account you already have and never set a password here.
If you were already building something as a guest before signing up, that work is attached to your new account rather than lost.
Confirm your email address
We send a confirmation link as soon as you sign up. Until you click it, a banner sits at the top of your dashboard with a Resend email button and tells you how long you have to confirm.
If the email has not arrived:
- Check the spam or junk folder - confirmation emails land there more often than anything else.
- Make sure the address is right. If you mistyped it, change it in Settings and a fresh link is sent to the new address.
- Use Resend email on the dashboard banner.
Your password
- Set a strong password of at least 8 characters. The form will not accept less.
- Change it any time in Settings > Change Password, which asks for your current password first.
- Forgotten it? Use Forgot password on the login page - the reset link goes to your registered address.
- Two-factor authentication is available in Settings for an extra layer, and is worth turning on for an account that runs a live shop.
If you signed up with a social account
You log in with that provider rather than a password. The email address on your Webkio account is the one the provider gave us. To use a password as well, set one via Forgot password.
What happens next
- Create your first project - from a template or a blank site.
- Build it in the editor.
- Publish when you are ready.
