Goals, funds & testing
Turn a plain donate button into a campaign: a visible goal, a choice of what to support, and evidence about which amounts actually raise more.
A fundraising goal
Turn on the goal in Donations → Settings and set a target. With show progress on, visitors see a thermometer filling up as gifts arrive.
Visible progress is the strongest motivator in fundraising - people give to something that is moving, and give more when it is close. Set a target you can realistically pass; a bar stuck at 4% works against you.
Funds and programs
By default every gift goes to one general fund ("where needed most"). Add funds to let donors choose what their gift supports - a building project, an emergency appeal, a specific program.
The chosen fund travels with the gift: it appears on the donation, on the donor's receipt, and in your Transactions list, so reporting back to donors later is a matter of filtering rather than guesswork.
Keep the list short. Two or three meaningful choices beat eight that make a donor stop and think.
Test your amounts
Turn on A/B test the amounts to show half your visitors a second set of suggested amounts. Results appear in Payments → Transactions, tagged by variant, so you can see which set raised more rather than arguing about it.
Change one thing at a time and leave it running long enough to gather real gifts - a handful of donations is not a result.
Where the donation block lives
The giving block is a section on your page, so you can put it wherever it belongs: directly under the hero on a campaign site, on its own donate page, or both. Every fundraising template ships with it already placed.
