Publish your menu
Publish a menu that is always current, instead of a PDF from last spring that nobody can read on a phone.
Turn the menu on
- Open Settings → Restaurant menu.
- Switch the menu on.
Your menu then appears on your site, grouped by category, and you manage it from the Restaurant group in the sidebar.
Categories are your courses
Restaurant → Categories is where you set up Starters, Mains, Desserts, Drinks - whatever your menu actually calls them. Order them the way you would print them; that is the order guests read.
Add your dishes
Under Restaurant → Items, each dish takes:
- Name, description and price.
- A photo. Optional, and worth it for the dishes you most want to sell - the eye goes there first.
- Dietary tags, including the 14 EU/UK allergens. Tagged allergens are shown to guests as a "contains" note, which answers the question before someone has to ask a member of staff.
- Options - a Size group (Small, Large +3) or an Extras group (Cheese +2). Option prices add to the dish price.
- Available times - leave blank for all day, or set a window so the lunch menu only shows at lunchtime.
- Featured, to pull a dish to the top of its section.
Take a dish off the menu with the available toggle rather than deleting it - the ninety-nine days a year you serve it, it is still there.
Import an existing menu
Rather than typing a long menu by hand, upload a CSV with name, price, description, category, dietary_tags. Rows are matched by dish name, so re-uploading an edited file updates existing dishes instead of duplicating them - which makes a seasonal price change one file rather than an afternoon.
