Grow your subscriber list
Build an audience you own - people who asked to hear from you, on a list no algorithm can take away.
Subscribers are separate from Contacts. A contact is anyone who has reached you (a form message, an order, a booking). A subscriber has actively opted in to your emails, and only subscribers receive campaigns.
Add a signup form to your site
In the builder, add a Newsletter Strip section (or a newsletter call-to-action) wherever it fits - most sites put one in the footer area, plus one at the end of the blog. Visitors who submit it land in Marketing → Subscribers straight away.
Signup forms work on every plan, including Free.
Collect signups anywhere else
The Grow button at the top of the Subscribers page opens the list-growth panel, which gives you:
- An embeddable signup form. Copy the HTML and paste it into any page - including a site that isn't built with Webkio. Signups flow into the same list.
- A default list for new signups. Choose one and every signup from that form joins it automatically, so you can email that audience without sorting anyone by hand.
Confirm addresses with double opt-in
In the same Grow panel, turn on double opt-in. New signups then arrive as pending and receive a confirmation email; they only become active - and only start receiving campaigns - once they click the link.
It costs you a few signups and is usually worth it: it keeps typos, throwaway addresses and other people's addresses off your list, which protects your sender reputation. If someone signs up again while still pending, we re-send the confirmation rather than telling them they are already subscribed.
Organize with lists and segments
- Lists are named groups you put people into - "Newsletter", "VIP customers", "Waiting list". A subscriber can be on several.
- Segments are rule-based and update themselves - for example everyone who bought in the last 30 days. You build the rule once and the membership stays current.
Send a campaign to a list, a segment, or everyone.
Unsubscribes
Every campaign includes an unsubscribe link, and anyone who unsubscribes is skipped by future sends automatically. Leave them on the list - the record is what keeps them from being emailed again.
Bringing a list from somewhere else
Importing subscribers in bulk is not available at the moment, so a list from another provider cannot be uploaded. The signup form and the embeddable form are the ways in for now.
