Set up your fleet
Rent out almost anything by the day, with a real availability search and online reservations.
What you rent comes first
The rental module runs six kinds of business, and which one you pick decides the wording everywhere and which questions you are asked. So it is the first thing you choose, not a setting to find later.
Creating a new site: pick Rentals, then answer What do you rent? Your site is built with the matching design and demo content.
Adding it to a site you already have: open Add a feature > Rentals in the sidebar. The settings page asks What do you rent? before you switch anything on.

Your dashboard, your item list, the search on your site and your reservation emails all follow that choice - a bike shop reads "Bikes" everywhere, a cottage owner reads "Properties" and "Guests".
Changing it later is safe. It only changes wording and which questions you are asked; nothing you have already set is cleared.
Build your fleet
- Your items - Cars, Bikes, Properties and so on, named after what you rent. Add each with photos, specifications and a daily price.
- Units - if you own several of the same thing, add them as units of one item rather than duplicating the listing. Availability is then counted per unit, so the item stays bookable until every unit is out. A holiday home is normally one unit: a particular house can only be let to one party at a time.
- Categories - group items the way customers shop for them (Economy, SUV, Premium; Houses, Villas, Apartments). Categories are what the search filters use.
- Locations - your pickup and return points, called a Marina, Depot or Area depending on what you rent. Customers choose from these when searching, so name them the way a visitor would.
Specifications
Each item carries the specs that make sense for what it is - seats, transmission and fuel for a car; berths and length for a boat; how many it sleeps, bedrooms and whether pets are welcome for a holiday home. You are not asked for a gearbox on a cottage.
Some of these are filters on your site's search, so fill them in on every item: a customer looking for somewhere that sleeps six will not see a property that never said.
Prices and deposits
A daily price sits on each item. Peak periods can override it, and can require a longer booking - see Seasonal prices & minimum stay.
Your currency and tax are set once for the whole site in Settings > Payments, alongside how you take payment.
