Deleting your account

3 min read Updated Aug 10, 2026

Deleting your account removes everything: your sites, your content, your customer data and your uploaded files. It happens straight away and it cannot be reversed. This page explains exactly what goes, so the decision is made with the facts rather than after the fact.

Before you delete

If what you actually want is to stop paying, you do not need to delete anything. Downgrading to the free plan keeps your account and your sites, and stops the billing. See Plans & upgrading.

If you want a site taken off the internet but kept, unpublish it instead. Your work stays in the builder and the address stops serving. See Publish your site.

Neither of those loses anything. Deletion does.

Only the account owner can delete

Team members cannot delete the account, even with full access. If you are a team member and you want your own access removed, ask the owner to remove you from the Team page. See Team members.

How to delete

  1. Open Settings from the menu under your name.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and press Delete account.
  3. Confirm in the dialog that appears.

You will be asked to prove it is you, and what you are asked for depends on how you sign in:

  • You have a password - type your current password.
  • You sign in with Google and use two-factor authentication - enter your current authentication code.
  • You sign in with Google and have no second factor - retype your account email address exactly.

This is deliberate. A logged-in session on a borrowed laptop is not enough on its own to destroy an account.

What gets removed

  • Every project you own, and the live sites they publish
  • All content: pages, products, orders, bookings, reservations, blog posts, menu items, donations
  • Your contacts, subscribers and customer records
  • Every file you have uploaded, deleted from storage as well as from the database
  • Your team members, their access and their own settings

What happens to your subscription

If you are on a paid plan, the subscription is cancelled before any data is touched. It is cancelled at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep what you paid for and nothing renews afterwards.

If that cancellation fails for any reason, the deletion stops and nothing is removed. That is on purpose: an account that no longer exists must never leave a card being charged.

There is no undo

There is no grace period, no recycle bin and no recovery window. Once the confirmation goes through, the data is gone and support cannot restore it. If there is anything you want to keep - your customer list, your orders, your written content - export it first. Every list page (Contacts, Orders, Bookings and the rest) has an Export button above the table that downloads what you are looking at as a CSV.

You are signed out as soon as the deletion completes.
