Emails aren't sending

2 min read Updated Jul 31, 2026

If confirmations, reminders or campaigns aren't arriving, work through these in order - most cases are one of the first three.

1. Check the spam folder first

New senders often land in Spam/Junk at first. Ask the recipient to check there and mark the message "Not spam" - it trains the inbox and improves future delivery.

2. Confirm your sender is set up

Open Settings → Emails. Whichever sending method you chose has to be usable:

  • Default - works out of the box, no setup.
  • Your own SMTP - host, username and password must all be filled in. Use the Send test button; if it fails, your SMTP details or app-password are wrong.
  • A sending domain - the domain has to show Verified. If it's still pending, finish the DNS step (see Set up how your emails are sent).

3. Look at your email log

Your dashboard keeps a log of every message your site tried to send. If an email shows as failed, the reason is listed there - usually a bad recipient address or a sender that isn't verified yet.

4. Marketing campaigns specifically

  • Campaigns and automations send through a background queue, so there can be a short delay - that's normal.
  • Very new lists with lots of invalid addresses can trip a deliverability pause. Clean obvious typos out of your list and try a smaller send.

Still stuck?

Send yourself a test (an order, a booking, or a contact-form message) and watch the email log. The status + reason there tells you exactly which step above to revisit.
